Hostflow is an app that facilitates and monetizes the early check-in / late check-out process from short term rental managers. As of Fall 2024, the app is in it's beta stages and we are collecting customer feedback to refine the overall UX and functionality.

The larger problem is that short term rental managers often have to go back and forth via messaging to coordinate an earlier check in or later check out time with renters. This is a headache for managers, take a lot of time and coordination and has no pay off. Hostflow solves that problem....however the app was just a twinkle in the founders eye and we needed to bring a V1 to life in order to get more user feedback during beta testing,
Why?
STR Managers need to manage parameters on an individual property level, as well as a group of properties.

Guests need to be able to click and link and manage times themselves, as well as submit payment

Need to be able to set buffer times, max hours difference, change window, and price per hour.
Problem

The world was really our oyster with this one. To start we made a list of requirements with the input of big STR management company. From there, it was on me to figure out how to make this a user friendly journey when a lot of fields were customizable per listing but also per group. As well as thinking through a variety of settings such as payment processing, signing contracts, and the ability to white label the guest journey.
How?
Iteration was key as we worked through how a user would organize their properties and the customizable fields attached to them

Create a mobile friendly guest journey that allows guests to easily change their times as needed and be alerted if the change window was closed.

Ensure the navigation was streamlined so users could easily find where to change settings for an entire group versus a property versus their account.
